I recently changed my thesis to how organizations manage employees through grief - what kinds of financial, emotional, and job task assistance can help them grieve. I researched Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to see what methods could be leveraged in an organizational context.
An interesting tidbit was around crafting a social network with purpose.
For grievers specifically, it's important that they identify empathizers (people who can hold them emotionally by listening), doers (people who can accomplish tasks for them) and destructors (people who are counter productive to grieving by invalidating feelings or making you feel unsafe).
Who are your doers, empathizers, and destructors? What does this tell you about the "tribe" you create and how they will enable you to acheive your goals?
