My best friend bought me a gratitude journal this week - with morning and evening reflection questions to help set the tone of the day. One of the entries is "How I'll make space for gratitude today..."
The phrase "making space" struck me as something we don't really think about. With the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, between working, making dinner, commuting, bathing, cleaning up, going to bed - we're just living.
Like a marathon trainer "makes space" to train and get better at improving his endurance, we need to make space to better our mental health, and reflect on the decisions that we made that day so they can be better the next day.
Consider what you "make space" for. Is it important? Does it draw you closer to your goals and who you want to be?
