Curiousity?

My first internship in college was with a non-profit organization that provided vocational grants to select individuals in underserved communities. I was tasked with analyzing the effectiveness of grant funds by interviewing grant recipients years after they had completed vocational school (nursing, welding, commercial driving, etc.). Grants were designated "successful" or "unsuccessful" based on if the recipient had secured a job and was still currently working in the vocation that the grant funded. The number one finding? The number one predictor of successful grants was if the recipient was interested in the vocation prior to the grant being awarded.

We know that interest is a "source of intrinsic motivation…that plays a powerful role in the growth of knowledge and expertise". Pure skills based content can be easily googled or found in books. What are you curious about?
